2024 Member Workshop Series - Disability & Philanthropy Forum

Deepen Your Disability Inclusion Journey

The Disability & Philanthropy Forum’s 2024 Member Workshops are interactive virtual learning sessions focused on skill building, tool development, and peer networking, so they require active participation.

Featuring expert facilitation by Forum staff and some exciting guest facilitators, member workshops are held via Zoom, require registration, and range from 90 minutes to 2 hours. Since the workshops’ interactive format requires a consistent number of engaged attendees, participants must be present for the entire session. Please note: some sessions have capacity restrictions, so we recommend that you register early!

With the exception of the first workshop, which will be open to the public, all of our 2024 workshops will only be available to Forum members. If you are not a Forum member, we invite you to apply to become one — membership is free!

Disability Inclusion Fundamentals: A Beginner’s Session – March 27

This workshop, open to the public as a sample, uses interactive activities to start participants on a disability inclusion learning journey.

Disability Inclusive Operations – April 30

This workshop has a practical lens designed to spark disability inclusion objectives within operating teams.

Disability Inclusion & Intersectionality – May 29

This workshop addresses the relationship between race and disability and establishes a common language around intersectionality.

The Disability Inclusion Pledge: What is your North Star? – June 12

In this workshop, participants will discuss creating north star vision plans for disability inclusion.

Disability Justice: Lessons from Participatory Grantmaking – July 24

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to assess and reflect on their own institutions, programs, and portfolios, and leave with an action plan for deepening practices of disability justice and participatory processes.
