Webinar – Communicating an Organization-Wide Commitment to Disability Inclusion

Foundations and philanthropy-serving organizations are increasingly heeding the urgent calls to action from disability rights and justice activists to ensure that both their internal operations and their grantmaking are disability-inclusive. There is a growing recognition across the philanthropic sector that in order to truly advance diversity, equity, and inclusion, we must approach our work through a disability lens.

This learning session on advancing a commitment to disability inclusion is applicable to staff at every level of an organization. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how one foundation evaluated their Disability Inclusion Initiative and to hear from a philanthropy-serving organization that is currently engaging in a disability inclusion journey. We’ll cover topics including:

• Why internal changes within an organization are essential to embracing disability inclusion.
• How to communicate an organization-wide commitment to disability inclusion.
• Key lessons learned from efforts to work toward disability inclusion.
